We have visited the Patricius Winehouse and Vine Shop in Bodrogkisfalud. We have ventured through the estate of the winery with the help of our guide, estate manager Dr. Péter Molnár.
We had the chance to see the old-fashioned press house and the winemaking plant – locaed deep inside of it – which makes it extremely ladscape-friendly. We found out that in the Tokaj-hegyalja, white wines are best suited to the landscape and to the traditions of wine-making.
After visiting the estate and the press house, we attended a wine tasting courtesy of the Patricius Wine House, where we had the opportunity to sample the Patricius 2017 Tokaj Furmint, 2018 Yellow Muskotály, 2017 Late Harvest “Katinka” and 2016 5 puttonyos Aszú. The history of wine making technology was presented by Dr. Péter Molnár estate manager.
After the wine tasting we had dinner in Tokaj-hegyalja.
